METRO opened its first cash & carry wholesale center in Pakistan in 2007 & expanded to 5 wholesale centers in a short span of 18 months. In July 2012, METRO and Makro-Habib combined their wholesale business in Pakistan, marking the beginning of a long-term partnership that benefits both companies. The merger enabled METRO and Makro-Habib to pool resources, strengthen their financial position, and grow in a challenging environment, creating synergies to generate value for customers and suppliers. Currently, the company operates 10 wholesale centers in Lahore, Karachi, Islamabad, and Faisalabad under the registered name METRO Pakistan (Pvt) Ltd.
METRO Pakistan is part of METRO GROUP's sales division, METRO Cash & Carry, a global leader in self-service wholesale. The company operates over 700 stores across 21 countries and employs more than 100,000 staff. In 2015, sales were approximately 30 billion Euro.
Job Description- Deliver key KPIs; identify, register, and develop new opportunities/customers according to a schedule, generating consistent sales and margins for new customers.
- Identify potential business opportunities, develop and manage relationships through market visits, and actively seek to expand the network.
- Manage a portfolio of customers, engage with them, execute sales, increase sales, manage credit, follow up on commitments, understand customer needs, handle complaints, and respond to feedback.
- Develop cross-functional relationships with procurement and operations teams to create initiatives and customized solutions.
- Consult with customers on business challenges, requirements, and the range of options and cost benefits of Metro's products.
- Utilize direct (face-to-face, calls) and indirect (networking) sales methods.
- Maintain detailed notes and tracking sheets to monitor customer development progress.
- Conduct sales activities professionally and with integrity.
Bachelor's or Intermediate qualification with 6-8 years of experience.
