The Role:

As part of our continued expansion, we are seeking a Senior Data Engineer — a hands-on technical leader responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining enterprise-grade data pipelines and infrastructure. This role is key in defining data architecture strategies, building scalable pipelines, and driving advanced AI/ML data workflows from scratch.

The ideal candidate will play a pivotal role in enabling AI/ML-driven initiatives by ensuring data is ingested, transformed, governed, and optimized for both training and inference purposes. This is an opportunity to be at the forefront of data innovation, building robust systems that power mission-critical analytics and AI platforms for our global client base.

What You'll Be Doing:

Lead Data Pipeline Architecture: Design and build scalable, reliable, high-performance data pipelines for large-scale datasets — ensuring readiness for AI/ML workloads.

Define Data Infrastructure Strategy: Architect and implement data warehouses, data lakes, and hybrid storage solutions tailored for both operational reporting and machine learning model training.

Hands-On Data Transformation: Lead feature engineering, data preprocessing, augmentation, and ensure end-to-end data readiness for AI/ML models.

Metadata & Data Structures: Design and maintain metadata repositories and data cataloging systems, making data discoverable, traceable, and AI-ready.

Data Quality & Risk Management: Enforce strong data quality controls, implement validation frameworks, and proactively identify risks across data ingestion, transformation, and storage layers.

Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work closely with Data Scientists, ML Engineers, Product Managers, and Business Leaders to translate data needs into reliable engineering solutions.

ETL Development & Optimization: Build robust ETL/ELT workflows for AI/ML datasets, with a focus on performance, data integrity, and scalability.

Model-Centric Data Design: Optimize data pipelines for efficient AI/ML model training and inference — balancing throughput, latency, and quality requirements.

AI/ML Data Governance: Establish and enforce governance best practices for ethical, compliant, and secure use of data within AI/ML workflows.

Continuous Learning & Innovation: Stay ahead of the curve on data engineering and AI/ML trends, continuously refining architectures and practices to keep systems cutting-edge.

What We're Looking For:

5–7+ years of hands-on experience in data engineering with a track record of delivering AI/ML-ready data solutions.

Deep expertise in data transformation, feature engineering, and pipeline design specific to machine learning workflows.

Proven leadership or mentorship experience in cross-functional data teams, especially within AI/ML projects.

Strong command over cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP) and big data technologies relevant to scalable AI/ML systems.
