We are seeking to recruit a Full Stack Developer to support the software development operations of the organization, further to support program and advocacy communications, and Metavystic's vision for the FUTURE.

Metavystic is an organization providing Geo-Spatial software services, and we are seeking applicants with experience with GIS Libraries who are committed to the craft, write clean code, and can work diligently. You will be a member of a full-stack creative team that is in charge of every phase of the ongoing software development, from initial software definition to development, testing, and launch.

Job Responsibilities:
  • Understand a problem, create a plan to solve it, then put it into action.
  • Provide customers with the solutions they require.
  • Implement dramatic improvements in processes that could have been problematic.
  • At least 1+ years of relevant experience as a GIS developer.
  • Extensive experience working with React, Redux, Material UI.
  • Demonstrated experience with HTML, CSS, and JavaScript.
  • Experience with RESTful APIs.
  • Leverage open-source frameworks and technology to create meaningful products.
  • Possess a design-focused mindset.
  • Ability to write and deploy code on the same day and the systems and practices that make that possible.
  • Nice to have some experience with Node JS.
  • Experience with PostgreSQL.

The candidate's experience with GIS, Geospatial Libraries (PostGIS, Mapbox, Leaflet, Cesium, etc.), GeoServer, QGIS, and ArcMap would be an asset to the company.
