Client company introduction:
A Pakistan-based IT Service & IT Consultancy firm with a workforce of 50 employees, hiring from Lahore. The company aims to automate lives in unprecedented ways.

Job Description:

We are seeking a dedicated and hardworking PHP Developer to join our team full-time. The ideal candidate should have experience with PHP, MySQL, and basic Git concepts. Experience with OpenCart is a plus. We value honesty, discipline, and a positive attitude towards work. The candidate should respect deadlines and be eager to learn and contribute.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and maintain PHP, OpenCart, and Laravel applications.
  • Design, implement, and optimize MySQL databases, including schema design, indexing, and query tuning.
  • Build and consume RESTful APIs (JSON/XML) for internal and external integrations.
  • Manage source code with Git, including branching, pull requests, merging, and conflict resolution.
  • Deploy and troubleshoot applications on Linux servers via CLI/SSH.
  • Perform OpenCart customizations, module edits, and bug fixes.

Requirements:

  • At least 3 years of professional PHP development experience, with strong knowledge of OOP concepts, namespaces, and error handling.
  • Deep expertise in MySQL, including joins, indexing, transactions, and performance tuning.
  • Proficiency in Git workflows, including feature branches, pull requests, and code reviews.
  • Comfortable using Linux CLI/SSH for deployments and server maintenance.
  • Experience with OpenCart, including theming, module development, and debugging.
  • Knowledge of REST API security protocols such as OAuth2 and JWT.

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent communication and time management abilities.
  • Collaborative mindset and eagerness to learn new best practices.

  • Experience: 3+ years
  • Work Timings: 9:00 am to 6:00 pm
  • Work Days: Monday - Friday
  • Location: Lahore - Onsite
  • Salary: Market competitive
