We are currently seeking an experienced professional to join our team as a Senior Analyst, Transactional Monitoring Operations.

Principal responsibilities
  • Review alerts generated by TM systems and ensure anomalous activities are escalated appropriately according to regulatory requirements.
  • Proactively gather intelligence from media reports and relevant websites to identify HSBC customers involved in crimes, money laundering, terrorism, etc., and stay updated on the latest AML trends.
  • Use available systems to verify the authenticity of transactions within each alert, checking the principal activities of the customer to ensure trading patterns or transactional activities are typical.
  • If unusual activity is found, such as transactions out of line with the client's normal business activity, investigate further.
  • Document the rationale for actions taken during investigations.
  • Follow established processes and standards diligently.
  • Complete assigned tasks independently within the designated timeframe, meeting process benchmarks.
  • Maintain high levels of productivity and quality as per process standards.
  • Accurately update all data requirements, including timesheets and process information, promptly.
  • Collaborate with the Compliance department regarding new business initiatives and adhere to relevant processes and procedures.
  • Investigate issues or problems effectively, resolving them or referring them with recommendations to the Line Manager.
  • Provide clear and concise questions and requests for supporting documents during the RFI process to address concerns while maintaining customer satisfaction.
  • Demonstrate comprehensive knowledge and risk-based decision-making in conducting in-depth investigations.
