Position Vacant: Research Associate, Dept. of Chemistry

Applications are invited from Pakistani Nationals for appointment on NRPU project No. 5612/Punjab/NRPU/R&D/HEC/2016, titled 'Development of Novel Fluoroquinolone Derivatives as Radiopharmaceuticals Using Structural Modification to Bypass Problems of Bacterial Resistance in Infection Imaging'.

Qualification / Eligibility

Qualification/Eligibility: PhD Student (already enrolled or fresh admission in Department of Chemistry)

Experience

Experience: The candidate should have an experience of small scale organic synthesis, metal complexation, biological studies (antibacterial study, animal studies etc.), statistical data handling, working in team and individual atmosphere and good writing skills. Candidate having project relevant background will be preferred.

Project information

Project information: The project duration is 36 months. The above position is purely on temporary basis. The incumbent will be required to sign a surety bond for entire duration of the project. The selected candidate could use the partial project data for his/her PhD thesis to fulfill the requirement of the PhD degree with the consent of the PI (which will act as his/her supervisor). Intellectual property rights will remain intact with the Principal Investigator; and the student (research Associate) will not claim what so ever in this regard.
