
Assistant Manager

The position holder will manage and administer the Finance Portal, Reporting Analytical platform, this role requires with a deep understanding of Finance, Regulatory Reporting and data modeling. This role will maintain existing web application which supports Regulatory reporting, management reporting, Customer profitability reporting. An understanding of new technologies such as cloud services and experience with cloud migration will be advantageous.
Key Result Areas
- Finance Portal and Analytical Platform Administration: Manage and administer the Finance Portal and Reporting Analytical platform, ensuring its reliability, performance, and alignment with business needs.
- Regulatory and Management Reporting: Maintain and enhance web applications to support critical functions such as regulatory reporting, management reporting, and customer profitability reporting, ensuring compliance with regulatory and business standards.
- Data Management and Modeling: Design, develop, and maintain complex data models with multiple subject areas to support advanced analytics and reporting capabilities.
- Application Development and Maintenance: Enhance and maintain web applications to meet business requirements, ensuring scalability, security, and usability.
- Requirement Gathering and Documentation: Engage with business users to gather requirements, document functional and technical specifications, and translate them into effective technical solutions.
- Software Development Lifecycle (SDLC) Oversight: Manage all stages of the software development lifecycle, from planning and development to testing, deployment, and post-production support, adhering to stringent enterprise-level change management processes.
- Testing and Deployment: Facilitate and manage SIT and UAT phases to ensure smooth project implementation and delivery.
- Post-Production Support: Provide robust post-production support, addressing issues promptly and implementing performance optimizations to ensure system stability.
- Cloud Services and Migration: Explore and implement opportunities to leverage cloud services and drive cloud migration initiatives where beneficial.
- Documentation and Knowledge Sharing: Develop comprehensive documentation for solution architecture, technical designs, and project details. Provide training and knowledge sharing for system users and team members.
- Leadership and Independent Contribution: Lead projects independently, ensuring timely delivery of key milestones while collaborating effectively with cross-functional teams.

- Adheres to internal policies, legal regulations, and ethical standards, with clear boundaries for decision-making authority to manage risks effectively and maintain confidentiality.
- Collaborates closely with cross-functional teams, senior management, and external stakeholders to drive technology initiatives and foster a culture of innovation and continuous improvement.
- Co-ordination with Country Finance and Group Finance.

Decision Making Authority & Responsibility
- Collaborate and work with other teams including Operations, Business and other Technology functions.
- Provide advisory to Technology management team in regard to the strategic planning.
Knowledge, Skills and Experience
- 8 to 10 years of experience in .Net Development (VB.Net), with proficiency in maintaining and enhancing web applications.
- Advanced-level expertise in SQL Reporting Services (SSRS) and SQL Services Analysis Services (SSAS).
- Proficiency in PL/SQL and T-SQL, including experience with performance tuning of functions and procedures.
- Knowledge of SSIS or Informatica as an added advantage.
- Experience with data modeling and tools like ERWIN or equivalent for handling complex data models.
Business and Analytical Skills:
- Experience in engaging with business users for requirement gathering and documentation.
- Clear understanding of SIT/UAT processes and their importance in project success.
- Knowledge of finance and regulatory reporting processes is highly desirable.
Project Management and Leadership:
- Proven ability to manage the complete life cycle of software development.
- Experience working in large enterprises with stringent management processes.
- Capability to independently lead projects and deliver high-quality results.
Communication and Collaboration:
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills for stakeholder engagement and team collaboration.
- Ability to work as an independent contributor while driving teamwork across functional areas.
- Familiarity with cloud services and migration strategies.
- Experience providing post-production support in large, complex environments.
