Job Description

Nurse is a vital member of the healthcare team responsible for overseeing and coordinating the nursing staff and patient care within a healthcare facility. Their primary role is to ensure the smooth and efficient operation of the nursing department while maintaining a high standard of patient care.

• Leadership and Supervision: Provide leadership and direction to the nursing staff, including Daycare Assistant and Triage Staff. Supervise daily nursing operations and activities, ensuring adherence to established protocols and policies.
• Quality Assurance: Monitor and maintain high standards of nursing care, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements and best practices. Conduct regular quality audits and performance evaluations of nursing staff.
• Conflict Resolution: Address and resolve conflicts or issues within the nursing team, promoting a positive and collaborative work environment.
• Communication and Collaboration: Foster effective communication between nursing staff, other healthcare professionals, and administrative departments within ZMT clinic and with line management. Collaborate with healthcare providers to ensure comprehensive patient care.
• Staff Development: Reinforce nursing staff development on skills and knowledge. Identify needs of staff development within the healthcare facility.
• Basic Wound Care: Perform wound care and dressing changes as directed by the healthcare providers.
• Specimen Collection and Processing: Collect and process various types of patient specimens (Urine etc.) for lab testing.
• Phlebotomy and Injectable Support: Perform basic phlebotomy procedures (drawing blood samples) as required. Perform with injectable therapy.
• Observation and Reporting: Observe and report any changes in patient condition or behaviour to the healthcare team. Generate Incidence report, as per ZMT protocol, and share with line management.
• Patient Education: Assist in providing basic education to patients and the families regarding care, and procedures.
• Comfort and Emotional Support: Offer emotional support and companionship to patients. Provide reassurance and comfort to patients and their families.
• Infection Control: Follow proper infection control protocols to prevent the spread of infections within the healthcare setting.
• Documentation: Conduct thorough and accurate assessments of patients, including observing and reporting any changes in their condition. Document patient information and maintain accurate records.
• Follow Institutional Guidelines: Adhere to all relevant policies, procedures, and safety guidelines given by ZMT leadership.
• Additional Responsibilities: Perform any other tasks or duties as assigned by line management to support the efficient operation of the healthcare facility and ensure the well-being of patients.

Education : Registered Nurse with valid PNC

Age : Maximum 40 years

Experience : 3 to 5 Years
