Role : Manager S&OP

Business Unit: Mars Pet Nutrition India

Location: Hyderabad

Job Purpose :

The S&OP+ Manager is responsible for ensuring the smooth operation of the Organization's S&OP+ process, aligned with global and regional guidelines. The incumbent must work with multiple cross-functional teams and the Leadership Team to develop and monitor an aligned business plan over 18-36 months. Additionally, they are accountable for project management of innovations and ensuring their delivery within budget as per business plans.

Key Responsibilities:

S&OP+ Strategy

  • Collaborate with leadership and functional heads to align business goals.
  • Drive the cyclic process focusing on long-term business strategy.
  • Identify medium to long-term risks and opportunities, integrating actions into the S&OP process.
  • Enhance variance to plan for business goals through effective S&OP processes.

Process Excellence

  • Ensure discipline, rigor, and adherence to the S&OP process.
  • Serve as the process expert, providing training, designing core and output decks, and analyzing final period presentations for management.
  • Influence associates to meet organizational goals, reducing firefighting and promoting stability for efficient resource use.

Monitor & Review

  • Integrate functions for a unified view and plan for the unit.
  • Ensure linked S&OP steps for consistent information flow.
  • Track performance against goals using tools like scorecards; facilitate continuous improvement in meetings and decision-making processes.
  • Act as the India SPOC for S&OP submissions.

Innovations Planning & Execution: Project Management

  • Lead cross-functional project teams, develop project plans, and ensure timely execution within scope and budget.
  • Manage project budgets and timelines, ensuring delivery as per CSFs.
  • Assemble project teams, ensuring process and principles are incorporated.
  • Ensure adherence to business processes and proper use of systems like Quest.

Stakeholder Management

  • Engage actively with stakeholders around activities.
  • Participate in NPD discussions and project information sharing.
  • Coordinate with Activity Managers for project delivery and regional/global information exchange.
  • Own the project pipeline, governance, decision-making, and prioritization within the S&OP+ process.

Job Specifications/Qualifications:

1. Educational & Professional Qualification

  • Postgraduate degree, preferably an MBA.
  • Experience in leading S&OP meetings, project management, business planning, supply chain planning, or process implementation roles.

2. Knowledge/Experience

  • 4-6 years of experience working with multifunctional teams.
  • Strong process management, planning, analytical skills, high learning agility, business acumen, and project management capabilities.
  • Understanding of S&OP/Process Driving roles.
  • Proactive, detail-oriented, results-focused, and open to change.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
