Applications are invited from Pakistani Nationals, who are not married to a foreign national, for the appointment on the following PhD Studentship positions in the Department of Environmental Sciences under the HEC funded project No: project No. 20-16388/NRPU/R&D/HEC/2021-2020 entitled "Rice residue is a boon not bane, don't burn, reuse it: Evaluation, and demonstration of alternative rice residue management practices to persuade farming community for mitigating smog and ensuring sustainable food production". The candidates must meet the qualifications/experience as detailed below:

PhD Studentship

No. of positions: 01
Monthly stipend: Rs. 34,666/- per month
Contract duration: 01 year extendable to 3 years

Qualification/Eligibility: 1) PhD students enrolled in the Department of Environmental Sciences. 2) Candidates with strong knowledge of soil biogeochemistry, nutrient cycling, soil organic carbon dynamics, soil health and crop management practices will be preferred.

Research Assistant

No. of positions: 01
Monthly stipend: Rs. 30,000/- per month
Contract duration: 06 months extendable to 1 year

Qualification/Eligibility: 1) Candidates having freshly passed MPhil in Environmental Sciences, 2) PhD students enrolled in the Department of Environmental Sciences. 3) Candidates with strong knowledge of soil biogeochemistry, nutrient cycling, soil organic carbon dynamics, soil health and crop management practices will be preferred.
