The Team: You will be joining a highly talented core team of API Gateway Platform Engineers at S&P Global Market Intelligence.

• Provide engineering solutions for operations problems, develop smart detection capable of predicting system stress & auto-correct ing through metrics analysis and remediation strategies

• Build a single pane view dashboard that provides quality insight into systems health in terms of overall health, transaction, latency, throughput, load and reliability score

• Proactively plan, scale, and improve by driving capacity planning, instrumentation , and performance analysis to meet the product goals, SLA & SLO

Responsibilities:

• Work as part of the API Gateway group to provide software engineering function s to the MI CIQ Solutions Dashboard suite

• Work closely with product owners and technology partners to understand existing systems and support them

• Troubleshoot and resolve complex production issues within the defined SLA

• Work with client application developers to build, deploy and run both monolithic and microservices based applications on AWS Cloud

• Analyze workload requirements and work with IT stakeholders to define proper sizing for cloud workloads on AWS

What we ' re looking for:

Basic Qualifications :

• 1- 2 y ears of hands-on experience in Java

• 1- 2 y ears of hands-on experience in Terraform

• 1- 2 y ears of strong experience in AWS C loud

• 1- 2 y ears of experience in A pigee Edge and the latest versions like Apigee X is preferred

A pigee Edge :

• Apigee E dge platform experience with AWS

• Understanding of Apigee components and infrastructure deployment models

• Experience in defining overall API architecture, API implementation, integration, and deployments

• Hands-on development in Apigee Platform with implementation exposure to policies like Service Callouts, Extensions, Mediation, Security implementations using OAuth

• Writing Open API spec ifications and knowledge of Swagger-UI and onboarding APIs to developer portal

• Experience with a back-end scripting language - Java, Node, Python

• Proficient in scripting languages such as Python, Bash, & NodJS

• Experience creating , publishing , and managing API proxies and policies

• E xperience managing KVM, flow hooks

Terraform:

• Experience with Terraform for infrastructure as code

• Experience in migrating Code Pipelines to Terraform

• E xperience with agile workflow tools ( Azure DevOps , GitHub , Jira )

• AWS Certified Engineer with HashiCorp Certified: Terraform Associate are preferred

• Terraform for IAC deployment with T erraform modules for reusing T erraform configurations, building and deploying containerized applications.

AWS Cloud:

• P roficiency in AWS services, including EC2, S3, RDS, Lambda, R53, ELB, ALB and VPC

• AWS Solution Architect Associate Certified preferred

• Experience with o rchestration engine s like Kubernetes

• Experience b uild ing , d eploy ing , and m anag ing production workloads including applications on EC2 instance s , APIs on Lambda Functions and more

Other add-on Skillsets:

• Experience with a variety of open-source databases (MySQL, Postgres, Redis, Cassandra,etc . )

• Experience troubleshooting networking protocols such as TCP/IP, HTTPS/TLS/ Websockets , Multicast and Broadcast messaging

• Experience with scalable networking technologies, including Linux, software-defined networking, network virtualization, open protocols, App acceleration, Load Balancers, DNS, virtual private networks and their application in PaaS and IaaS technologies

• Experience with Unix/Linux operating systems internals (e.g., filesystems, system calls), and with networking (e.g., routing, ESDN) or cloud systems

• Experience in Performance tuning OS (Linux & Wintel), JVM , . NetCore VM

• Experience in designing service APIs using API Gateways, creating, developing and integrating infrastructure, OpenShift, Service Mesh etc

• Experience with DevOps engineering or SRE

• Experience with monitoring and observability such as with Datadog and Splunk

• Experience using source control (Git, GitHub) and feature branching strategies.
