Role Description

This is a full-time on-site role for an Android Developer with 4+ years of experience located in Islāmābād, Pakistan. The Android Developer will be responsible for mobile application development, Android design, and software development tasks.

Qualifications

  • 4 - 5 Plus years of experience in Java/Kotlin programming language.
  • Strong knowledge of Android SDK, different versions of Android, and how to deal with different screen sizes.
  • Strong knowledge of Android UI design principles, patterns, and best practices.
  • Experience with offline storage, threading, and performance tuning.
  • Have a good understanding of the design patterns e.g. MVC, MVP, MVVM.
  • Strong knowledge of Android Device Architectures.
  • Familiarity with security practices for Android application development.
  • Experience with Android NDK.
  • Experience with Kotlin Coroutines.
  • Familiarity with REST APIs to connect mobile applications to back-end services.
  • Familiarity with Networking, Camera, geolocations and Google Maps SDK.
  • Understanding of Android design principles and interface guidelines.
  • Familiarity with cloud message APIs and push notifications.
  • Experience with third-party libraries and APIs.
  • Experience with Playstore distribution.
  • Experience with unit tests and architecting testable code.
  • Proficiency in the following skills and technologies is preferred: Test Driven Development ; Continuous Integration/Delivery
  • Strong grip and proficient understanding of version control tools, such as git, mercurial, SVN, as well as experience with other development tools such as Jenkins and JIRA, etc.
  • Thorough knowledge of software development best practices, including coding standards, code reviews, source control management, build process, continuous integration and continuous delivery.
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field
