We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Legal Stenographer and document Drafter to join our dynamic legal team. The successful candidate will play a crucial role in transcribing legal proceedings and crafting accurate, well-formulated legal documents. This position requires a high proficiency in stenography, excellent organizational skills, and a strong understanding of legal terminology.

Job Responsibilities:

Stenography:

Utilize stenographic machines to record and transcribe verbatim legal proceedings, including court hearings, depositions, and meetings.
Ensure the accuracy and completeness of transcriptions, paying close attention to legal terminology and nuances.

Document Drafting:

Prepare, edit, and format a variety of legal documents, including contracts, pleadings, motions, and correspondence.
Collaborate with legal professionals to create well-organized and articulate documents that meet legal standards.

Proofreading and Editing:

Review and proofread legal documents for grammatical accuracy, consistency, and adherence to legal guidelines.
Assist in the editing and refining of documents to meet the highest quality standards.

Legal Research Support:

Conduct legal research to gather information relevant to document preparation.
Stay updated on legal developments and changes to ensure the accuracy of drafted documents.

Case Management:

Maintain organized and comprehensive records of legal documents, ensuring easy retrieval and reference.
Coordinate with legal teams to manage document workflow efficiently.

Stenography Skills: Proficient in stenographic machines with a high degree of accuracy.
