Role Description

This is a full-time role for a Chinese Translator located on-site in Karachi. The Chinese Translator will be responsible for translating documents, meetings, and communications from Chinese to English and vice versa. The translator will also be required to proofread translations, ensure cultural relevancy, and maintain the original meaning and context of the material. Additional tasks include coordinating with different departments to meet translation needs and assisting in the localization of content for Chinese-speaking audiences.

Qualifications
  • Fluency in Chinese and English, including excellent verbal and written communication skills in both languages
  • Translation and proofreading skills
  • Ability to ensure cultural relevancy and maintain the original meaning and context of the translated material
  • Coordination and organizational skills to meet translation needs across different departments
  • Experience in content localization and familiarity with Chinese culture preferred
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy
  • Bachelor's degree in Translation, Chinese Language, Linguistics, or a related field preferred
  • Prior translation experience is a plus
