About the Role:

The Reddit Marketing Specialist will oversee all of the company's activities on Reddit, working to increase brand visibility, build community, and drive traffic and conversions. This individual will develop and execute strategies for active, authentic engagement in relevant subreddits; identify new opportunities for outreach and brand advocacy; and establish the brand as a trusted contributor within the Reddit community.

Key Responsibilities:

- Develop and implement a Reddit marketing strategy in line with overall brand and marketing objectives.

- Identify target subreddits and community discussions aligned with the company's products, services, or brand voice.

- Craft campaigns and communication plans to drive brand awareness, lead generation, and user engagement.

2. Community Engagement:

- Participate in relevant subreddits as a knowledgeable, genuine contributor.

- Promptly address user comments, questions, and concerns, ensuring positive brand perception and maintaining credibility.

- Monitor and report on user sentiment and feedback.

3. Content Creation & Curation:

- Collaborate with internal teams (creative, product, and PR) to produce engaging, high-quality content that resonates with Reddit communities.

- Repurpose existing content for the Reddit platform, tailoring it to different subreddits while adhering to their rules.

- Develop compelling AMA (Ask Me Anything) events, subreddit-exclusive promotions, and discussion threads to increase visibility.

4. Relationship Building & Collaboration:

- Cultivate relationships with subreddit moderators and influential users for partnership opportunities and authentic collaboration.

- Collaborate with internal marketing teams to align Reddit campaigns with other brand initiatives (e.g., product launches, influencer marketing, events).

5. Analytics & Reporting:

- Track and analyze KPIs (e.g., upvotes, traffic, conversions, sentiment, user engagement) to optimize campaign performance.

- Present regular performance reports, glean insights from Reddit's analytics tools and third-party platforms, and propose data-driven recommendations.

6. Reddit Policy & Best Practices:

- Stay current with Reddit policies, rules, and guidelines to ensure all brand interactions comply with community standards.

- Educate internal stakeholders about Reddit-specific best practices and potential pitfalls.

Required Qualifications:

1. Education & Experience:

- Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Communications, or related field (or equivalent professional experience).

- Proven experience in social media marketing, online community management, or user engagement, preferably with demonstrable results on Reddit.

2.Platform Knowledge:

- Deep understanding of Reddit's culture, etiquette, and platform nuances.

- Familiarity with tools for scheduling, monitoring, and analytics specific to Reddit.

3.Communication & Writing Skills:

- Exceptional written communication skills with a keen ability to adapt voice and style to different subreddit communities.

- Talent for generating creative, authentic, and on-brand copy.

4.Analytical & Strategic Thinking:

- Proficiency in using analytics to evaluate campaign success and refine strategies.

- Ability to interpret data and uncover insights to guide decision-making.

5. Personal Qualities:

- A self-starter with a passion for internet culture and community-building.

- Proactive, detail-oriented, and able to handle multiple projects in a fast-paced environment.

- Strong interpersonal and collaboration skills to work effectively across teams.
