Engineering Supervisor

Key Responsibilities

1. Maintenance & Operations

• Supervise and coordinate the daily activities of the engineering team, ensuring timely completion of maintenance tasks.
• Conduct routine inspections of the hotel and mall facilities to identify and resolve maintenance issues.
• Oversee the repair, servicing, and preventive maintenance of HVAC, electrical, plumbing, elevators, fire safety, and mechanical systems.
• Monitor energy consumption and suggest energy-saving initiatives to optimize efficiency.
• Ensure all engineering work meets industry standards, safety regulations, and brand requirements.

2. Team Supervision & Training

• Assign tasks and responsibilities to engineering team members, ensuring efficient workflow.
• Provide training and guidance to team members on safety procedures and proper maintenance practices.
• Monitor performance and conduct periodic evaluations of the engineering staff.

3. Compliance & Safety

• Ensure adherence to all safety protocols, local regulations, and company policies.
• Oversee fire safety systems, emergency generators, and building security infrastructure.
• Coordinate with government authorities for inspections and ensure compliance with legal and regulatory standards.

4. Inventory Management

• Coordinate with external contractors for repairs, renovations, and special projects.
• Manage engineering supplies, tools, and spare parts inventory to ensure availability.
• Review and approve maintenance-related invoices, ensuring cost-effectiveness.

5. Emergency & Crisis Management

• Respond to maintenance emergencies such as power failures, leaks, or equipment breakdowns.
• Develop contingency plans for critical system failures and liaise with emergency service providers.

Qualifications & Requirements

Education & Experience:

• Diploma/Degree in Mechanical, Electrical, or a related field.
• Minimum 5 years of experience in building maintenance, with at least 2 years in a supervisory role.
• Experience in both hotel and mall facility management is preferred.

Technical Skills:

• Strong knowledge of HVAC, electrical, plumbing, and fire safety systems.
• Understanding of preventive maintenance programs and energy management.
• Proficiency in maintenance management software and MS Office applications.

Soft Skills:

• Excellent leadership and team management skills.
• Strong problem-solving abilities and attention to detail.
• Effective communication and coordination skills.
