Purpose

Enable the distribution function for analytics-based decision-making using tools and strategies by managing processes for accurate data collection and processing to interpret key findings. Seek solutions in sprawling data sets and convert insights into strategic opportunities for distribution assets and networks. Work closely with internal and external stakeholders to support high-quality, data-driven decisions and support performance initiatives. Ensure data accuracy and consistent reporting by designing optimal processes and procedures for insights used in decision making and strategic planning across the distribution function. Propose initiatives to the department head as needed. Manage and direct data workers, assets, and network analysts to generate and share analytical reports.

Minimum Requirements

Education & Relevant Experience: Minimum 5+ years of experience with a Bachelor's/Master's in Business Intelligence, databases, or business analysis, focusing on data mining techniques.

Knowledge: Project management, stakeholder management, risk assessment, project management lifecycle, business acumen, analytical tools (SAP BOBJ, Power BI, BEX, Analysis for Office, QlikView, Qlik Sense, SQL Developer, SQL Server Management Studio), electrical network knowledge, asset maintenance, AMR meters, electrical quantities, business processes, query languages (SQL, T-SQL, PL/SQL), databases (Oracle, MS SQL, MySQL), scripting languages (VBScript, JavaScript), ERPs (SAP/Oracle), and understanding of various cycles like meter-to-cash, asset lifecycle, etc.

Responsibilities
  • Data Analytics Framework: Develop KPIs, oversee analytical processes from data cleaning to insights, build and test queries, establish performance measurement tools.
  • Discover Insights: Facilitate data strategies, conduct exploratory data analysis, identify root causes, lead cross-functional projects, recommend process innovations.
  • Augmentation of Data Analytics: Identify data points, analyze business processes, develop automated datasets, assess and improve data quality.
  • Drive Insights: Develop approaches for effective trade-offs, measure effectiveness, optimize data use, monitor asset management metrics, analyze network disruptions.
  • Data Integrity: Lead master data management, define data standards, oversee data quality and governance processes.
  • Technology & Operational Support: Recommend technology improvements, support operational data requirements, lead dashboard development.
  • Enhancements & Change Requests: Engage in process reengineering, support change management initiatives.
  • Training & Mentoring: Conduct training, develop staff, ensure data accuracy, plan for future department needs.Additional Information
