Position Overview:

We are looking for a motivated Editorial Assistant to support our content development team. The ideal candidate will have a strong command of written English, a keen eye for detail, and the ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment. This role is ideal for someone passionate about language, publishing, and academic content.

Key Responsibilities:

·Edit and proofread content with exceptional accuracy, ensuring consistency in grammar, syntax, punctuation, usage, and style.

·Adhere to and maintain client-specific editorial guidelines and preferences.

·Eliminate redundant or overly elaborate text to enhance clarity and conciseness.

·Coordinate with designers to confirm the correct implementation of author suggestions and layout requirements.

·Collaborate with other team members to improve formatting, heading styles, image captions, hyphenation, sentence casing, and other presentation elements.

·Cross-check revisions and incorporate author and editor feedback in final drafts.

·Maintain organized records of author contracts, legal documents, and copyright information.

·Review and verify work completed by designers and content composers.

·Prioritize tasks effectively to meet tight deadlines and project timelines.

Qualifications:

·Bachelor's degree in English, Publishing, Communications, or a related field.

·Minimum of 1 year of relevant experience in editing, proofreading, or academic content development (Fresh graduates with strong skills are also encouraged to apply).

·Proven academic reading and writing abilities.

·Proficiency in research referencing methods and citation styles (e.g., APA, MLA, Chicago).

·Strong verbal and written communication skills.

·Ability to multitask across complex, fast-paced projects while maintaining high quality.

·Comfortable collaborating across departments, especially with creative, production, and design teams.
