Organization: Government of Pakistan, National Heritage and Culture Division, Islamabad
Position: Executive Director, Lok Virsa (National Institute of Folk and Traditional Heritage)

  • Pay Package: Equivalent to MP-II as per Finance Division's guidelines
  • Tenure: Contract-based, initially for 3 years, extendable by up to 2 years based on satisfactory performance
  • Age Limit: Maximum of 62 years (as of the closing date for application submission)
Qualifications:
  • Option 1:
    PhD in relevant fields (Sociology, Ethnology, Anthropology, Folklore, Management Sciences, Mass Communication, Media Studies, or related disciplines) from an HEC-recognized university or equivalent foreign qualification, with 10 years of relevant professional experience.
  • Option 2:
    Master's degree in the same relevant fields from an HEC-recognized university or equivalent foreign qualification, with 14 years of relevant professional experience.

Additional Consideration:
Knowledge or research in art and culture will be considered as added experience.

Note:
Candidates with foreign qualifications must obtain an equivalence certificate from HEC before final selection.

Selection Process:
  • Eligibility and selection will be made according to government policy.
  • Shortlisted candidates will be called for an interview. No TA/DA will be provided for the interview.
  • Selected candidates from government or autonomous bodies will be required to resign or retire before taking up the new assignment.
