Metallurgy Engineer

We are seeking an experienced and highly skilled Metallurgy Engineer to join our team at H.A Steel Chain (PVT.) Ltd, a leading steel chain manufacturing company. As a Metallurgy Engineer, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the quality and consistency of our steel chain products, which cater to various industries, including cement, sugar, paper, chemicals, and fertilizers.

Key Responsibilities:

As a Metallurgy Engineer, you will be responsible for overseeing and controlling all heat treatment processes, including annealing, tempering, quenching, and hardening. You will evaluate and analyze metal properties to determine the appropriate heat treatment processes, ensuring that our products meet the highest quality standards.

Technical Expertise:

The ideal candidate will possess extensive knowledge of metallurgical processes and heat treatment techniques. You will have strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with excellent attention to detail and precision in your work.

Collaboration and Communication:

As a Metallurgy Engineer, you will collaborate with cross-functional teams, including production, quality control, and research and development. You will maintain and update technical documentation related to heat treatment procedures and ensure that all relevant personnel are informed and trained on new processes and procedures.

Quality and Safety:

You will be responsible for implementing and monitoring safety protocols in the heat treatment area, ensuring that all personnel follow safe working practices. You will also check heat-treated parts under a microscope and prepare samples when required.

Reporting and Leadership:

As a Metallurgy Engineer, you will directly report to the Production Manager and highlight critical issues to Top Management. You will provide technical leadership and guidance to junior engineers and technicians, ensuring that they are trained and equipped to perform their duties effectively.

Requirements:

• Engineering Degree in Metallurgy
• Minimum 5 years of experience in a similar role, preferably in the steel chains manufacturing industry
• Extensive knowledge of metallurgical processes and heat treatment techniques
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• Excellent attention to detail and precision in work
• Ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams
• Proficiency in using metallurgical testing and analysis tools
• Certificates of DPT, NDT, MPI, and UT are additional advantages
