1. Programme Development to Promote Democratic Values in Youth of Pakistan:

• Develop key community contacts and support/resources needed for setting up democratic education focused project in 18 districts of Pakistan and implement the project according to agreed work plan provided by Youth Parliament of Pakistan Head Office.

• Motivate young people to become part of YPP.

• Lead and manage a team of registered members of Youth Parliament of Pakistan.

• Consult with the community and registered members of Youth Parliament of Pakistan for the said project.

• Solicit support from local chamber of commerce and industry and other potential supporters for implementation of projects.

2. Facilitate Training and Learning:

• Deliver and facilitate delivery of training courses during the course of the project.

• Collaborate with other District Youth Assemblies and International partners to facilitate community orientation.

• Help members of Youth Assemblies to identify and develop personal objectives and facilitate individual learning throughout the program.

• Promote learning amongst members of Youth Assemblies regarding global and cross-cultural issues.

3. Communication with Youth Parliament of Pakistan:

• Keep the Youth Parliament of Pakistan regularly informed about the progress of the Youth Assemblies.

• Act as a representative of Youth Assemblies at all times while communicating with stakeholders.

• Actively involve the community and other stakeholders in Social Action interventions.

4. Project Management:

• Complete administrative functions to ensure that the project is properly implemented.

• Prepare weekly/monthly work plans for implementation of Project.

• Document all processes and procedures.

• Prepare analytical monthly field activities reports.

5. Budget Management:

• Manage day-to-day finances and present monthly accounts.

• Ensure financial transactions work in line with the financial audit processes of Youth Parliament of Pakistan.

6. Monitoring and Evaluation:

• Monitor the success of the project.

• Facilitate members of the District Youth Assemblies for evaluation of their own learning.

• Regularly monitor the implementation and impact of activities.

Job Specification

Minimum Requirements:

• At minimum a master's degree in social science or a similar discipline.

• 3-4 years of community development experience in a local or international NGO, preferably working on community mobilization and youth empowerment and participation.

• Excellent interpersonal, managerial, planning, documentation, and reporting skills.

• Experience in networking and coordination with other organizations working in the same sector.

• Proven leadership skills and ability to work in a team.

• Efficient, facilitating, and able to take initiative.

• Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills.

• Good Urdu and English skills, written and spoken. Knowledge of local language is an added advantage.

• Proficient in MS Office, MS Excel, MS PowerPoint, etc.
