Key Responsibilities:

WordPress Development:
  • Design, develop, and maintain WordPress websites, ensuring they are responsive, user-friendly, and aligned with client specifications.
  • Write clean, scalable, and efficient code using PHP, JavaScript, HTML, and CSS while following WordPress best practices.
  • Troubleshoot, debug and optimize websites for performance and speed.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver high-quality web solutions, including designers, content managers, and SEO specialists.

Project Management:
  • Led and managed WordPress development projects, ensuring timely delivery within scope and budget.
  • Coordinate sprints, planning sessions, and stand-ups in an Agile environment to facilitate project progress.
  • Create and maintain project timelines, task breakdowns, and resource allocation.

Leadership And Mentoring:
  • Provide guidance and support to junior WordPress developers, ensuring adherence to coding standards and best practices.
  • Foster a positive and collaborative environment, promoting teamwork, effective communication, and knowledge sharing.
  • Conduct code reviews and offer constructive feedback to ensure the quality and functionality of deliverables.
  • Assist in onboarding and training new team members, setting them up for success in WordPress development.

Experience:
  • Minimum of 2 years of hands-on experience in WordPress development, including theme and plugin customization.

Project Management:
  • Proven experience in managing WordPress projects in an Agile environment, including sprint planning and tracking.

Leadership:
  • Demonstrated leadership skills with the ability to mentor and guide junior developers effectively.

Technical Expertise:
  • Proficiency in PHP, JavaScript, HTML, CSS, and MySQL for WordPress development.
  • Strong experience in theme and plugin development and customization.
  • Familiarity with RESTful APIs and experience in integrating third-party services with WordPress.
  • In-depth knowledge of responsive design principles and SEO best practices.

Version Control:
  • Proficiency with Git and platforms like GitHub or GitLab for version control and code collaboration.

Problem-solving Skills:
  • Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills to resolve complex technical issues promptly.

Communication Skills:
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills for collaborating effectively with team members, stakeholders, and clients.

Educational Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field.
  • Relevant certifications in WordPress development or additional training in web development are a plus.

Nice-to-Have:
  • Experience with cloud platforms such as AWS or Azure for WordPress hosting and deployment.
  • Familiarity with DevOps practices like CI/CD, Docker, or Kubernetes.
  • Experience in leading teams or projects within a startup or fast-paced environment.
