Job Title: Lead Auditor - Food
Job Location: Lahore

Role Statement:

  • The primary role of a food safety auditor is to conduct food safety audits. This ensures quality control among foods of all types.
  • The position performs in line with the Bureau Veritas Quality Assurance System, including the BV Code of Ethics and the BV Group policy.

ACCOUNTABILITIES:

  1. Preparation of audit plan and initial coordination with client as per agenda shared by Operational Backoffice.
  2. Adherence to all food safety standards/protocols/codes of conduct.
  3. Conducting audits using updated audit packs (checklists, forms, and tools).
  4. Maintaining positive client relationships and responding to all client inquiries and concerns.
  5. Submission of complete and accurate audit reports within established timelines to the reviewing channels.
  6. Timely addressing all defects, concerns, and queries raised by reviewing channels.
  7. Developing competency to maintain qualification to conduct audits.
  8. Developing competency assessment packs to achieve maximum possible EA/NACE/Industrial/Service codes.
  9. Maintaining up-to-date knowledge of latest versions of applicable laws, regulations, statutory requirements, and standards.

KPIs (to be amended if necessary):
Alleviating the time-barred cases
NC closure within timeline
Report submission within timeline

TECHNICAL COMPETENCIES:
The following competencies are required:

• University degree in food-related disciplines, including but not limited to biological sciences, food science, nutrition, agriculture, agribusiness, engineering, chemistry, or related fields.

• LA course on FSMS, HACCP, HALAL, FSSC, GG will be an added advantage.

• Minimum of 3-4 years' experience related to the food and/or agricultural industries including but not limited to areas such as quality assurance, food safety functions, auditing, and/or farm management.

• Familiarity with the third-party certification process.

• Strong communication and customer service skills.

• Well-developed organizational and time management skills.

• Strong computer skills, including Excel, Word, Outlook, and Database systems.

• Willing to travel up to 75%, mostly overnight travel throughout Pakistan.
