COO at FreeSpace | Co-Founder of Drivedea | Expert in Scaling Startups & Engaging Software TalentWe are looking for a highly motivated and detail-oriented System Analyst with strong skills in business analysis, Agile methodologies, and project coordination.
The ideal candidate will be responsible for translating business discussions into precise requirements, managing Jira boards and tickets, preparing BRD and SRS documents, and acting as a Scrum Master to facilitate Agile delivery processes across teams.
Key Responsibilities:
Requirement Analysis & Documentation
- Gather and analyze requirements from stakeholders, product owners, and customers.
- Convert discussions and ideas into structured documents including:
- Business Requirement Documents (BRDs)
- Software Requirement Specifications (SRS)
- User Stories & Acceptance Criteria
- Conduct stakeholder interviews and requirements workshops.
- Manage Jira boards and backlogs, ensuring all tickets are well-defined and updated.
- Create epics, user stories, tasks, and bugs with clear descriptions, priorities, and due dates.
- Monitor sprint progress and ensure issue tracking accuracy.
- Facilitate Agile ceremonies including daily stand-ups, sprint planning, retrospectives, and reviews.
- Remove blockers and ensure cross-functional collaboration between teams.
- Promote Agile best practices and continuous improvement culture.
- Act as a liaison between business units, development teams, QA, and design.
- Ensure alignment between stakeholders and technical teams.
- Present requirements and product progress to management and clients.
Quality & Compliance
- Validate requirements against business goals and technical feasibility.
- Support QA in defining test scenarios and reviewing test cases.
- Ensure all documentation aligns with compliance, quality, and security standards.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in computer science, Information Systems, Business Administration, or related field.
- 5–8 years of experience as a System Analyst, Business Analyst, or similar role.
- Hands-on experience with Jira and Confluence.
- Proven experience writing BRDs, SRS, and user stories.
- Strong knowledge of Agile/Scrum methodologies.
- Excellent communication, facilitation, and stakeholder management skills.
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities.
Preferred Qualifications:
- BAP (Certified Business Analysis Professional)
- Certified Scrum Master (CSM) or PMI-ACP certification.
- Familiarity with UI/UX workflows and design thinking.
- Experience in EdTech, FinTech, SaaS, or enterprise applications.
- Familiarity with tools like Figma, Miro, or similar.
