Job Title: Automotive Casting Technician

Location: Sheikhupura, Pakistan (On-Site)

Role Responsibilities

• Set up and operate casting machinery for automotive components.
• Monitor the casting process and make adjustments as needed.
• Conduct regular quality checks on products to ensure compliance with specifications.
• Inspect and analyze defects in cast parts to determine the root cause.
• Maintain accurate records of production processes and quality inspections.
• Collaborate with engineers and other technicians to optimize casting techniques.
• Manage inventory of casting materials and reorder supplies as necessary.
• Implement safety measures to reduce hazards and comply with safety regulations.
• Train and mentor new technicians on casting procedures and equipment use.
• Assist in troubleshooting equipment malfunctions and coordinate repairs.
• Prepare technical reports and documentation for the production processes.
• Participate in continuous improvement initiatives within the department.
• Work closely with the quality assurance team to adhere to standards.
• Adhere to production schedules and deadlines.
• Follow environmental protocols for waste management and recycling.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent; additional technical certification preferred.
• Minimum of 3 years experience in automotive casting or related field.
• Strong understanding of casting processes and metallurgy.
• Familiarity with CNC machines and tooling.
• Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and schematics.
• Proficiency in quality control methodologies and standards.
• Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
• Strong communication and interpersonal abilities.
• Knowledge of safety and environmental regulations in manufacturing.
• Capability to work in a team and independently.
• Attention to detail and a commitment to quality.
• Basic computer skills for data entry and reporting.
• Willingness to work flexible hours, including overtime if necessary.
• Physical stamina to lift heavy materials and operate machinery.
