About The Role

The Buyer – NPS manages non-production spend (NPS) supplies and services, including OPEX and CAPEX, to maximize cost efficiency and business continuity. The role involves sourcing, negotiating, and contracting with vendors for spares, consumables, civil/mechanical works, and services, while ensuring 100% compliance with NPS SOPs. It drives supplier quality and performance improvement, manages risks, and supports regional/global reporting. Strong procurement expertise, negotiation skills, and commercial acumen are key to achieving sustainable results in a dynamic supply environment.

Your responsibilities

• Manage sourcing and procurement of Non-Production Spend (NPS) supplies and services, covering both OPEX and CAPEX.
• Lead vendor identification, negotiation, and contracting to optimize costs and ensure a reliable supplier base.
• Independently handle bidding processes for CAPEX projects, spares, consumables, and services.
• Ensure 100% compliance with NPS Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).
• Collaborate with engineering, projects, and supply teams to align vendor selection with site needs.
• Monitor supplier quality, performance, and service levels; drive continuous improvement initiatives.
• Identify risks and opportunities in sourcing processes and implement mitigation strategies.
• Maintain strong relationships with suppliers to position the company as a preferred customer.
• Work closely with legal and procurement leadership to verify and finalize contracts, ensuring protection of business interests.
• Provide regional/global reporting to senior NPS management.

The experience we're looking for

• Strong procurement background with 2 - 3 years of negotiation and sourcing experience.
• Commercial and financial acumen to identify cost opportunities.
• Engineering, Supply Chain, or Procurement qualification preferred.
• Fluent in English; additional language a plus.
• Action-oriented, resilient, and skilled at building stakeholder relationships.
