Job Overview & Essential Functions

Murphy-Hoffman Company, LLC is North America's largest Kenworth truck dealership group and leasing group. We are seeking an Outside Parts Salesperson to develop and achieve maximum profitable sales volume of parts and labor services from assigned accounts in a designated territory. The role involves analyzing customer operations to determine future parts, service, and truck requirements.

  • Develops and achieves maximum sales volume for assigned accounts, focusing on parts and labor sales opportunities.
  • Oversees operations of assigned customers, advising on inventory, service options, and new products.
  • Plans territory coverage, regularly visits key accounts, takes orders, introduces new products, and promotes existing services.
  • Completes weekly customer call sheets summarizing interactions.
  • Manages personal expenses within budget and submits weekly reports.
  • Promotes all MHC product and service offerings including RoadForce, Service, Body Shop, Truck Sales, Leasing, Carrier, and Finance.
  • Investigates and refers customer complaints appropriately.
  • Assists counter personnel with orders, deliveries, returns, and inventory tasks as needed.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.

    Safety-Sensitive Position: This role is designated as safety-sensitive. Any impairment may pose health or safety risks, especially when operating or maintaining heavy equipment or handling hazardous materials.

    Qualifications
    • One-year automotive parts related experience.
    • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
    • Experience in sales/service capacity dealing with the public.
    • Computer skills preferred.
