Systems Installation Manager

We are looking for a Senior Installation Manager at Makkah, Saudi Arabia (On-site) to oversee and manage the deployment of hardware solutions and ensure that they meet organizational standards and client specifications. This role is critical in facilitating the seamless integration of systems and devices into operational environments and optimizing deployment processes.

• The Senior Installation Manager is expected to lead deployment teams, manage resources effectively, and maintain clear communication with stakeholders. He should demonstrate strong managerial skills, uphold best practices in deployment, and ensure compliance with relevant regulations and company policies. Additionally, he is expected to troubleshoot deployment issues and implement improvements to enhance efficiency.
• Key objectives include successfully managing multiple deployment projects from initiation to completion, achieving project timelines and deployment budgets, and ensuring high levels of customer satisfaction.
• Responsible for overseeing the installation, setup, and deployment of physical hardware, infrastructure, or equipment in various environments. This includes data centers, control centers, field sites, or any location requiring complex physical installations.
• Works closely with cross-functional teams, manages logistics, and ensures that systems are deployed in compliance with industry standards and safety protocols.

ROLES & RESPONSIBILITIES:

The duties and responsibilities of the Installation Manager encompass a range of activities aimed at ensuring successful systems and infrastructure deployments. Here is a list of duties and responsibilities associated with this role:

• Develop and maintain deployment plans, timelines, and resource allocation.
• Coordinate cross-functional teams to ensure all aspects of the deployment are effectively managed.
• Act as the primary point of contact for stakeholders, including internal teams and external clients.
• Provide regular updates on deployment status, deployment risks, and milestones to stakeholders at all levels.
• Identify potential risks related to deployment and develop strategies to mitigate them.
• Implement contingency plans to address any deployment-related issues that arise during the deployment process.
• Ensure that all deployment activities adhere to quality standards and best practices.
• Conduct post-deployment reviews to assess outcomes and identify areas for improvement.
• Facilitate change management processes, ensuring that end-users are adequately prepared for new systems or processes.
• Provide training and support to users as needed to ensure a smooth transition.
• Maintain comprehensive documentation of deployment processes, project plans, and outcomes.
• Ensure that all relevant documents are accessible to team members and stakeholders.
• Identify opportunities for process improvements in deployment methodologies and share best practices across the organization.
• Oversee deployment budgets, ensuring deployment work packages are completed within financial constraints.
• Monitor expenditures and justify costs associated with deployment activities.
• Encourage innovation and the adoption of new technologies to enhance deployment efficiency.
• Foster positive relationships with customers, gathering feedback on deployment experiences, and addressing any concerns.

REQUIREMENTS:

• Bachelor's Degree in Electronics/ Electrical/ Civil or Mechanical Engineering
• 15 years of experience, out of which 8 years in the Installation Management Role
• Vast experience in LV systems installation and leadership in various roles.
• Strong understanding of system integration and qualification standards.
• Strong ability to develop installation plans, schedules, and resource allocation strategies.
• Proven experience in managing and mentoring cross-functional teams of deployment engineers and technicians.
• Experience using project management tools such as MS Project, Primavera, or equivalent.

REQUIRED SKILLS:

• Experience in overseeing deployment projects, including planning, scheduling, and resource allocation for physical installations.
• Understanding of the systems being deployed, including hardware and network infrastructure. Familiarity with deployment tools and technologies is crucial.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills for effective collaboration with team members, stakeholders, and clients. This includes the ability to present technical information clearly to non-technical audiences.
• Competence in leading teams, managing conflicts, and ensuring that all team members are aligned with project goals.
• Ability to analyze potential risks in deployment strategies and implement mitigation plans.
• Ensuring accuracy in deployment processes and documentation to avoid errors and oversights.
• Skills in managing stakeholder expectations and building strong relationships to facilitate smoother deployments.
• Experience with data center environments, including the physical aspects of server racking, power management, cooling systems, and cable management.
• Ability to integrate multiple systems and hardware components into an existing infrastructure or environment smoothly.
• Proficiency in physically installing and configuring hardware in compliance with vendor specifications, industry standards, and organizational policies.
• Ability to identify issues quickly and develop effective solutions to mitigate risks during the deployment process.

TECHNICAL SKILLS:

• Knowledge of physical networking components, such as routers, switches, and cabling, along with hands-on experience in network setup, configuration, and troubleshooting.
• Proficiency in the physical deployment of hardware equipment, including servers, storage devices, and other IT infrastructure components.
• Familiarity with electrical systems, ensuring equipment is correctly powered and compliant with safety regulations (e.g., understanding voltage specifications, grounding, and circuit design).
• Experience conducting site surveys to evaluate the physical environment and make recommendations for deployment based on factors like space, power availability, and cooling needs.
• Understanding how to integrate deployed physical systems with existing infrastructure, including troubleshooting hardware and software compatibility.
• Knowledge of industry safety standards and compliance regulations relevant to physical deployments, ensuring that all installations meet local and national codes (such as OSHA standards).
• Experience in data center environments, including knowledge of layout design, cooling systems, power distribution, and space management.
• Skills in managing logistics related to the delivery and installation of equipment, including inventory management and coordination with vendors for timely arrivals.
• Ability to create and maintain technical documentation, including installation manuals, configuration guides, and deployment checklists to ensure that processes are standardized and repeatable.
• Understanding of power supply systems (e.g., UPS, PDU), power requirements for different hardware, and ensuring proper configuration to avoid outages or failures.
