Devops Engineer

Education:
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Design or related field; or equivalent work experience.
In a fast-growing environment, you'll work among talented engineers, product designers, marketing, and business leaders. The role requires a mix of technical depth, product thinking, and strategic drive.
Key Responsibilities & Deliverables:
- Working with a cloud-based microservices architecture to support and collaborate with the data platform.
- CI/CD pipelines and tools.
- Contribute to the design of the data platform.
- Automate infrastructure deployment as code.
Skills & Abilities:
- Strong understanding of the core concepts of DevOps, microservices, systems administration, and monitoring/alerting.
- Languages – Python, Java, Shell Scripting.
- Build tools – Gradle.
- Infrastructure Tools – Terraform, Chef.
- Container Infrastructure – Docker and Docker Compose, ECS.
- Databases – MongoDB, PostgreSQL, MS SQL Server.
- Elastic Stack – Elasticsearch, Logstash, Kibana.
- Source Control – Git and Bitbucket.
- Linux administration (Ubuntu, Fedora, and/or Amazon Linux).
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail (Application behaviour, Networking, Security).
- Awareness of DevOps and Agile principles and methodologies of overcoming security weaknesses within these frameworks.
- Excellent organizational and time management skills, and the ability to work on multiple projects at the same time. Pragmatic approach to risk mitigation.
- Experience within Finance/Highly Regulated environments will give you an advantage.
- Fluency in English; other languages are a plus.
