Job Title: Quality Management System (QMS) Engineer

Department: Quality Department

Job Purpose:

To establish, implement, and continually improve the Quality Management System in alignment with ISO 9001:2015 standards, ensuring overall process excellence, compliance, and product quality across the organization.

Key Responsibilities:

QMS Development & Maintenance:

  • Design, implement, and sustain a QMS compliant with ISO 9001:2015 standards. Ensure system updates align with organizational and regulatory changes.

Documentation Control:

  • Create, manage, and update quality manuals, procedures, SOPs, and work instructions. Ensure version control, authorized access, archiving, and proper disposal of obsolete documents.

Internal & External Audits:

  • Plan and conduct internal QMS audits. Identify non-conformities, propose corrective/preventive actions, and ensure follow-through. Coordinate external audits including customer and certification body audits.

Root Cause Analysis & CAPA:

  • Lead root cause analysis for quality incidents using structured tools (e.g., 5 WHY, 8D). Develop and monitor corrective and preventive action plans.

Training & Quality Culture:

  • Organize QMS-related training sessions across departments. Promote quality awareness and ensure understanding of standards like FMEA, SPC, etc.

Data Analysis & Reporting:

  • Collect and analyze quality performance data (e.g., defect rates, audit outcomes) using statistical tools (e.g., Minitab). Present findings through formal reports.
  • Lead or contribute to Lean Six Sigma, Kaizen, QIT, and QCC initiatives to improve quality, reduce waste, and enhance process efficiency.

Qualifications & Skills:

  • In-depth understanding of ISO 9001:2015 QMS standards.
  • Proficiency in root cause analysis tools (5WHY, 8D, FMEA, etc.).
  • Experience in document control and QMS auditing.
  • Skilled in Microsoft Office Suite and statistical software (e.g., Minitab).
  • Certified Internal Auditor (ISO 9001 preferred).

Soft Skills:

  • Strong analytical thinking and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent interpersonal and coordination skills.
  • Detail-oriented with strong documentation and reporting capabilities.
  • Leadership and training skills.

Educational & Experience Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical, Electronics, or related engineering disciplines.
  • Minimum 3 years of hands-on experience in QMS implementation and maintenance within a manufacturing or engineering environment.
