Position Overview

As a Social Media & Community Manager / Vlogger at AHOY, you will take the lead in shaping our social media strategy and community engagement efforts. You will be responsible for creating compelling content, managing our online presence, and driving interactions across social media platforms. If you're passionate about storytelling, understand social media trends, and have experience in vlogging, we want to hear from you

Responsibilities

  1. Create and implement social media strategies to increase brand awareness and engagement.
  2. Manage and grow social media channels including Instagram, Facebook, Twitter, and YouTube.
  3. Develop engaging content, including written posts, images, videos, and vlogs that resonate with our target audience.
  4. Monitor social media trends and news to ensure our content remains relevant and engaging.
  5. Engage with the community by responding to comments, messages, and engaging in conversations.
  6. Analyze performance metrics and generate reports on social media engagement, traffic, and growth.
  7. Collaborate with the marketing team to align social media strategies with overall marketing campaigns.
  8. Identify opportunities to increase community involvement and host online events or live sessions.
  9. Maintain a content calendar to ensure consistent and timely posting.
  10. Stay updated with the latest social media tools, trends, and best practices.

Qualifications and Skills

  1. Proven experience as a Social Media Manager, Community Manager, or similar role.
  2. Strong understanding of social media platforms and their respective audiences.
  3. Experience in creating vlogs or visual storytelling content.
  4. Excellent communication, writing, and editing skills.
  5. Proficiency in content creation tools and video editing software.
  6. Ability to analyze data and derive insights to inform strategy.
  7. Highly creative with a passion for digital marketing and storytelling.
  8. Familiarity with social media advertising and analytics tools.
  9. Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Communication, or a related field is preferred.
