Role Description
This is a full-time on-site role for a Medical Coder located in Rawalpindi. The Medical Coder will be responsible for accurately coding medical records and documents, ensuring compliance with industry regulations. Day-to-day tasks include reviewing clinical statements, assigning standard codes using ICD-10, CPT, and HCPCS systems, and working closely with healthcare providers to verify accuracy. The Medical Coder will also be responsible for maintaining patient confidentiality and staying updated with coding guidelines and practices.
Qualifications
- Coding Experience and Medical Coding skills
- Knowledge of Medical Terminology and Health Information Management
- Certified RHIT (Registered Health Information Technician) or equivalent qualification
- Attention to detail and ability to work independently
- Strong understanding of compliance and regulatory requirements
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Experience in a healthcare setting is a plus
- Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Health Information Management, Medical Coding, or related field
