MBBS with at least 2 years of experience. Candidates having MCPS shall be preferred.

Responsibilities:

  1. The officer shall be responsible for managing operations and administration at the medical centre.
  2. Ensuring compliance with the roles, responsibilities, functions, and procedures assigned to him as per the manual and shall exercise due diligence and care in discharge of his responsibilities.
  3. Ensure attendance and punctuality of doctors and staff at the medical centre.
  4. Ensure medical policies and procedures are being complied with, including medical referrals, sick leaves, and record keeping.
  5. Review the history of patients (particularly chronic patients) in the system on a regular basis and shall ensure that the history is regularly updated by the doctors.
  6. Establish whether the doctor has conducted necessary procedures for treatment of a particular case and whether a referral to a panel facility was justified in the circumstances or not. This shall also include compliance with disease protocols in monthly performance reports.
  7. Report emergency cases to the In-charge Up-country Medical Centre for approval/ratification.
  8. Report the performance of the medical centre to the In-charge Up-country Medical Centre on a periodic basis.
  9. Ensure discipline among the staff and doctors.
  10. Conduct medical audits of doctors on a test basis, including:
  • Auditing medical books at random
  • Making regular observations of clinical examinations conducted by the company doctors
  • Assessing the validity of referrals on the spot (subjective assessment)
Make necessary efforts to prevent unnecessary hospitalization and related expenditures on inpatient cases in his centre.Visit panel and non-panel hospitals on instructions from the in-charge Up-country Medical Centre to verify:
  • Physical appearance of actual patients
  • Verification of their identity
  • Adequacy of medical facilities provided to them
Communicate with treating doctors of admitted patients regarding:
  • Diagnosis of patients
  • Investigations undertaken or to be undertaken and proper indications
  • Appropriateness of treatment provided
  • Justification of the duration of hospitalization
  • Advice on patient discharge
Report to the In-charge Up-country Medical Centre monthly, including details of cases visited, visit results, and the status of planned visits.Respond to urgent calls for specific visits and investigations as directed by the In-charge Up-country Medical Centre.Perform any other responsibilities assigned by the CMO.
