The Role:

We are seeking an entry-level finance professional - either a newly qualified accountant or someone looking to transition into finance - to join our FP&A team.

You will work closely with senior team members to collect, organize, and analyze client financial data, prepare reports, build models, and update dashboards.

This role is ideal for someone eager to learn, detail-oriented, and committed to producing high-quality work.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Review and validate client accounting data.
  • Recommend improvements to data capture and reporting.
  • Liaise with client accountants/bookkeepers to ensure best practices.

KPI & Performance Metric Development

  • Assist in defining and tracking client-specific KPIs.
  • Align metrics to client industry, business model, and growth goals.
  • Embed KPIs into reporting frameworks.
  • Support implementation of FP&A Tools.
  • Assist in integrating accounting systems with live dashboards.
  • Troubleshoot and optimize data integrations.

Management Reporting & Analysis

  • Prepare monthly reporting packs, including Budget vs Actuals and variance analysis.
  • Collaborate with senior colleagues on insights and recommendations.
  • Monitor reporting timelines and ensure accuracy.
  • Provide ad-hoc financial analysis and respond to client queries.
  • Build and maintain Excel-based models for forecasting, valuation, and decision-making.
  • Assist with client budgets and rolling forecasts.
  • Create data visualizations and dashboards using tools like Power BI.
  • Contribute to internal process improvements.
  • Maintain accurate timesheet tracking.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in accounting, Finance or Business Administration or alternative workplace experience required, with 3 years in a Financial-related field.
  • Experience or interest in commercial finance within a professional services setting preferred.
  • Strong Excel skills; familiarity with financial modelling.
  • Preferred: Experience with dashboards and data visualization (Power BI or similar).
  • Strong English communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Highly organized, detail-focused, and proactive.
  • Ability to manage high email volume and meet deadlines.
  • Eager to learn, ambitious, and committed to producing excellent work.
