The Position

We are looking to hire a strong Senior SQA Automation Analyst with hands-on experience in manual testing to help ensure high quality and timely delivery of releases. The successful hire will be located and work out of the Contour Software Karachi/Lahore/Islamabad office, as part of the resource-center team, extending the division-based R&D department.

Responsibilities

• Perform automated software testing and contribute to test strategy, planning, and execution.
• Develop automation test scripts and execute automation tests; analyze results.
• Use robust programming languages (e.g., TypeScript, JavaScript) for automation.
• Utilize Playwright for browser automation; familiarity with other testing frameworks and Selenium.
• Work with version control (Git) and CI/CD processes.
• Understand how to select HTML elements using selectors (CSS, XPath, etc.).
• Demonstrate attention to detail, strong organizational skills, and the ability to manage multiple tasks in a deadline-oriented environment.
• Communicate effectively in English; collaborate with team members and stakeholders; pursue ongoing professional development in QA techniques.

Required Qualifications & Skills

• University degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related discipline.
• 5+ years of experience in automated software testing.
• Hands-on experience developing automation test scripts and executing automation tests; analyzing results.
• Proficiency in TypeScript and/or JavaScript.
• Strong experience with Playwright for browser automation; familiarity with other testing frameworks.
• Experience with Selenium and other automation technologies.
• Experience with Git or similar version control systems.
• Understanding of CI/CD processes.
• Ability to select HTML elements using CSS selectors, XPath, and other selectors.
• Strong SDLC knowledge, problem-solving, decision-making, and organizational skills.
• Excellent interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills in English.
• Willingness to learn new QA techniques and continuously develop technical knowledge and skills.
• Maintains composure and a positive attitude under pressure.
