AutoCAD Administrator

Ibex, for one of it's global client, is looking to hire AutoCAD Administrator. Shortlisted candidate will be responsible to prepare and optimize AutoCAD drawings. The ideal candidate will be responsible for structuring drawings, optimizing the rendering of floorplans and single-line diagrams, and adhering to specific DLR AutoCAD guidelines.

Key Responsibilities:

• Prepare and format AutoCAD drawings and organize drawing objects, including lines, polylines, and blocks.
• Ensure all shapes are created using polylines or blocks rather than individual lines or groups.
• Use the JOIN command or create blocks to combine individual lines into recognizable, linkable shapes.
• Avoid the use of the Group function in AutoCAD; instead, convert grouped elements into polylines or blocks.
• Manage arrays in AutoCAD by using the EXPLODE command to separate elements when individual linking is required.
• Collaborate with internal teams to refine and enforce best practices for AutoCAD drawing standardization.
• Review and update existing CAD files to align with standardized layer structures, naming conventions, and formatting requirements.
• Modify layer properties such as color, line type, and line weight to ensure consistency across all drawings.
• Verify adherence to company standards, correct any discrepancies, and maintain organized file structures.
• Attention to detail and familiarity with AutoCAD best practices are essential to ensure accuracy and uniformity in all updated drawings.
• Utilize external references (XREFs) for efficient drawing management.
• Be able to link, manage, and update XREFs to ensure consistency across multiple drawings.
• Be able to troubleshoot XREF-related issues, optimize file structures, and maintain best practices for layering, naming conventions, and drawing organization.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

• Proficiency in AutoCAD with experience in creating, modifying, and structuring drawings.
• Strong attention to detail to ensure stencils/blocks are correctly structured.
• Experience working with floorplans and single-line diagrams is a plus.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Previous experience in CAD standardization projects.
• Strong familiarity with other Autodesk products, BIM360, RevIT and related drafting software.
• Experience working in a team environment focused on AutoCAD integration and optimization.
• Experience with Microsoft suite (Sharepoint, Word, Powerpoint, Excel, etc)
• Experience with PowerAutomate highly desired but not required.
• Experience with IRI Tileflow, 6Sigma (CFD Modeling Software) highly desired but not required.
• Previous architectural experience desired but not required.
• Comfortable in EST time zone (Evening/Night)
