Responsibilities:
Assist the DoP in translating the director's vision into visual storytelling.
Support with camera setups, lens choices, framing, and movement planning.
Collaborate with the lighting and grip departments to establish proper lighting schemes.
Supervise and manage camera department workflow, including media management and backups.
Operate secondary cameras or B-cam when required.
Scout locations with the DoP and suggest solutions for technical challenges.
Ensure all equipment is functioning correctly and troubleshoot any issues on set.
Maintain continuity of visual style across different scenes and shooting days.
Assist in planning and executing complex shots (e.g., Steadicam, gimbal, drones).
Coordinate with post-production teams regarding footage quality and technical specifications.
Assist in editing video projects, including short-form and long-form content (commercials, social media videos, interviews, promos, etc.).
Organize, log, and manage raw footage, project files, and media assets.
Sync audio, apply basic color correction, and perform rough cuts as directed.
Add music, sound effects, and simple motion graphics as needed.
Export and deliver final assets in multiple formats optimized for various platforms (YouTube, Instagram, etc.).
Collaborate with senior editors, producers, and creative teams to meet project deadlines.
Maintain version control and adhere to file naming conventions and workflow standards.
Keep up to date with the latest editing techniques, trends, and software updates.
Requirements:
Proven experience as a Camera Assistant, Operator, or Junior Cinematographer.
Strong knowledge of digital cinema cameras.
Understanding of lighting techniques and color theory.
Ability to manage and organize camera equipment.
Strong collaboration and communication skills.
Creative problem-solving abilities on fast-paced sets.
Knowledge of post-production workflows is a plus.
Flexibility to work long hours and travel as needed.
0-2 years of experience in video editing or a relevant internship.
Proficiency in Adobe Premiere Pro (knowledge of After Effects, Photoshop, and DaVinci Resolve is a plus).
Basic understanding of storytelling, pacing, and visual rhythm.
Familiarity with various video formats, codecs, and export settings.
Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
Ability to take feedback and apply revisions efficiently.
Passion for video content and a willingness to learn and grow.
