Job Summary:

We are seeking a skilled Backend BI Developer with strong expertise in Microsoft BI technologies to design, develop, and maintain our business intelligence solutions. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience with SQL Server Integration Services (SSIS), SQL Server Analysis Services (SSAS), and SQL Server (T-SQL), with a good understanding of Azure Data Services and Power BI. You will play a critical role in building and optimizing data pipelines, data models, and analytical structures to support business decision-making.

KeyResponsibilities

  • Design, develop, and deploy ETL packages using SQL Server Integration Services (SSIS).
  • Create and manage multidimensional and tabular models using SQL Server Analysis Services (SSAS).
  • Develop complex T-SQL queries, stored procedures, and functions for data extraction and transformation.
  • Maintain and optimize data warehouse environments and backend data processing workflows.
  • Collaborate with business analysts and stakeholders to gather requirements and translate them into technical solutions.
  • Integrate on-premise data solutions with Azure Data Services, such as Azure Data Factory, Azure Data Lake, and Azure SQL Database.
  • Support the development of Power BI datasets and ensure proper data modeling practices for reporting teams.
    • Monitor, troubleshoot, and improve the performance of BI solutions.
  • Follow data governance and security standards in all data processing activities.

Keyrequirements

  • 3–7 years of experience in Business Intelligence development using Microsoft SQL Server, SSIS, and SSAS.
  • Strong SQL programming skills and experience in writing optimized queries.
  • Experience in building and deploying SSIS ETL packages and SSAS cubes/tabular models.
  • Familiarity with Dimensional Modeling, Star/Snowflake schemas, and Data Warehouse principles.
  • Exposure to Azure Data Services, including:

o Azure Synapse / SQL Pools (nice to have)

  • Understanding of Power BI – especially dataset design, DAX, and data refresh mechanisms (development is a plus).
  • Knowledge of version control systems (e.g., Git/Azure DevOps).
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.

Nice-to-have


• Experience with Azure Synapse Analytics or Data bricks.


• Experience in deploying BI solutions in cloud or hybrid environments.


• Familiarity with CI/CD for BI deployments using Azure DevOps


• Basic understanding of Power BI Report Server or SSRS
