MS Dynamics GP Techno-Functional Consultant

About Us:

Tech Ventures is a growing technology and consulting firm delivering dynamic ERP solutions to clients across various industries. We are looking to hire a skilled Microsoft Dynamics GP Techno-Functional Consultant to support, enhance, and implement Dynamics GP solutions for our clients.

Job Overview:

The Techno-Functional Consultant will be responsible for providing technical and functional expertise in the design, implementation, support, and customization of Microsoft Dynamics GP (Great Plains). This includes working with end-users and internal teams to deliver robust solutions tailored to business needs.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead or support end-to-end implementation and upgrade projects in Dynamics GP.
  • Gather business requirements, conduct gap analysis, and design solutions in line with client needs.
  • Configure Dynamics GP modules such as Financials, Inventory, Purchasing, Sales, Fixed Assets, and Payroll.
  • Develop SSRS reports, SmartLists, and customizations using Dexterity, Visual Studio Tools, or .NET when required.
  • Perform system testing, user training, and support go-live activities.
  • Troubleshoot system and integration issues, working closely with IT and business teams.
  • Collaborate with functional consultants and end-users to resolve issues efficiently.
  • Document configurations, customizations, and business processes.
  • Ensure compliance with best practices for data integrity and system controls.

Qualifications & Skills:

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Accounting, or related field.
  • Minimum 2-3 years of hands-on experience with Microsoft Dynamics GP in a techno-functional capacity.
  • Strong understanding of GP modules (GL, AP, AR, POP, SOP, Payroll, Inventory, etc.).
  • Experience with Dexterity, eConnect, Integration Manager, SSRS, and SQL Server is preferred.
  • Good understanding of business processes, especially in finance and supply chain domains.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently and manage client relationships effectively.
  • Experience working in a consulting or client-facing role is a plus.
