Position Overview:

We are seeking a dynamic and visionary Chief Financial Officer (CFO) to lead our client's (Gas and Oil Industry) finance Function and support strategic growth. The CFO will play a critical role in shaping financial policy, managing risk, and ensuring the financial health of the company while aligning with broader business objectives, particularly within the oil and gas value chain.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement financial strategies to support company-wide objectives.
  • Assess and manage financial risks and opportunities in exploration, production, refining, and distribution.
  • Manage capital structure (debt and equity) to align with financial goals.
  • Oversee capital raising for development, exploration, and large-scale projects.
  • Create and maintain financial models for budgeting, forecasting, and long-term planning.
  • Conduct financial analysis for performance evaluation across business segments.
  • Mitigate risks related to commodity price fluctuations, currency, and regulatory changes.
  • Implement risk management strategies to protect against market volatility.
  • Ensure compliance with financial regulations and industry standards.
  • Provide accurate, timely financial reports to internal and external stakeholders.
  • Support strategic positioning through assessment of mergers, acquisitions, and divestitures.
  • Optimize cash flow and liquidity for operations and investments.
  • Implement strategies to optimize working capital.
  • Communicate with investors and analysts about financial performance and strategy.
  • Lead efforts in tax strategy and compliance with tax laws.
  • Use financial technology (FinTech) and data analytics to improve financial decision-making.
  • Drive innovation in finance processes and reporting.

Key Requirements:

  • A qualified chartered accountant (CA) with additional qualifications or a post-graduate degree is preferred.
  • Member of the Institute of Chartered Accountants.
  • Minimum 15 years of professional experience, with at least 5 years in a senior-level role, preferably as a CFO in the Oil and Gas Industry.
  • Potential candidates must have experience in the Oil and Gas Industry
  • Deep understanding of financial investment, treasury operations, payment, and settlement systems, including RTGS.
  • Proven leadership in high-paced, dynamic environments with strong analytical, strategic, and mentoring skills.
  • Experience working in multinational corporations or foreign subsidiaries is preferred.
