Overview

We are seeking an experienced and technically strong Incharge Design Piping to join our Proposals Department at our Lahore Head Office. This role is critical in supporting the development of winning proposals for EPC projects by providing comprehensive piping design input during the bidding phase.

Responsibilities
  • Lead piping design activities during the proposal and tendering stages of EPC projects.
  • Review and interpret client specifications, ITBs (Invitation to Bid), and scope documents to develop design strategies.
  • Prepare preliminary plot plans, piping layouts, material take-offs (MTOs), and BOQs for proposals.
  • Coordinate with cross-functional teams including process, mechanical, civil, and procurement to ensure alignment of technical deliverables.
  • Provide technical input for cost estimation and proposal documentation.
  • Liaise with vendors and suppliers to gather equipment and piping material specifications and quotations.
  • Ensure compliance with international standards and codes (ASME, API, etc.) and client-specific requirements.
  • Guide and mentor junior engineers during proposal development as needed.
Qualifications
  • Education: Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering from a recognized institution.
  • Experience: 8–15 years of relevant experience in piping design, including 3–5 years in EPC proposal or FEED phases within the oil and gas industry.
  • Strong proficiency in AutoCAD, CADWorx, PDMS, or other 3D piping design tools.
  • In-depth knowledge of piping design standards (ASME B31.3, B31.1, API, etc.).
  • Excellent analytical, coordination, and communication skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple proposals under tight timelines.
