BIM Modeler

We are actively seeking a qualified & detail-oriented Project BIM Modeler (Hybrid) to join our esteemed team for a significant project with the Land Transport Authority (LTA) in Singapore. As the Project BIM Modeler (Hybrid), you will play a crucial role in creating & managing detailed 3D models to support the implementation of Building Information Modelling (BIM) processes.

Responsibilities:

BIM Modeling:

1. Develop & maintain accurate 3D BIM models using Revit, Navisworks, and other BIM software.
2. Ensure the integration of all project information into the BIM models, adhering to project specifications & standards, including ISO 19650.
3. Update & revise BIM models as required to reflect changes in project design or construction requirements.
4. Assist in clash detection & resolution, ensuring that the models are free from conflicts.
5. Work closely with design, construction & project teams to incorporate their inputs into the BIM models.

BIM Data Management:

1. Organize and manage BIM data within a Common Data Environment (CDE) such as BIM360 or Autodesk Construction Cloud (ACC) to ensure accuracy and accessibility.
2. Support the documentation process by extracting 2D drawings & schedules from the BIM models.
3. Communicate effectively with project personnel, including both BIM team & Project team, to gather information & clarify modeling requirements.
4. Participate in BIM coordination meetings to discuss & resolve modeling issues (if required).

Quality Assurance:

1. Ensure the quality and accuracy of BIM models by conducting regular reviews and adhering to BIM standards, ISO 19650 guidelines & project specifications.
2. Implement quality control processes to maintain the integrity of the models throughout the project lifecycle.

Job Requirements:

Education & Experience:

1. Diploma in Electrical, Mechanical or Building Services Engineering, or a related field.
2. Formally trained in BIM (Diploma or Training certification), with at least 1 year of BIM modeling experience in a design, engineering, or construction firm.
3. Minimum of 3 years of experience in BIM modeling with a focus on detailed model creation.

Technical Proficiency:

1. Proficient in BIM software, including but not limited to Revit, Navisworks, and AutoCAD.
2. Familiarity with clash detection tools & processes.
3. Experience with 4D (time scheduling), 5D (cost estimation), and 6D (facility management) BIM dimensions.
4. Proficient in using Common Data Environment (CDE) platforms such as BIM360 or Autodesk Construction Cloud (ACC).

LTA Project Experience:

1. Understanding of LTA project requirements & the specific demands of transportation infrastructure projects in Singapore is a plus.

Construction Experience:

1. Experience working on construction sites is advantageous, with a good understanding of project dynamics & challenges.

Communication Skills:

1. Excellent communication skills in English, with the ability to effectively convey BIM-related concepts to various project teams.
2. Strong interpersonal skills to facilitate collaboration among diverse project teams.
