The CCTV and Fire Alarm Electrician is primarily responsible for maintaining, installing, and repairing CCTV and fire alarm systems within hospital areas. Additionally, the role supports other Extra-Low Voltage (ELV) systems such as Building Management Systems (BMS), access control barriers, nurse call systems, and more. The electrician will also assist in maintenance activities and projects as assigned by the supervisor, including the repair of home appliances like microwave ovens and LED TVs. 

Job Role / Responsibilities:

CCTV and Fire Alarm Systems:

• Perform regular maintenance, troubleshooting, and repairs on CCTV and fire alarm systems.

• Install, wire, and connect ELV devices like CCTV, fire alarm devices and sensors according to hospital safety standards and regulations.

• Ensure all systems are functioning correctly and respond promptly to any faults or alarms.

ELV Systems Support:

• Provide support for other ELV systems within the hospital, including BMS, access control systems, nurse call systems, and other related technologies.

• Assist in the installation, configuration, and maintenance of these systems as required.

Installation and Wiring:

• Ensure that all wiring and connections meet the required safety and quality standards.

• Conduct installation, wiring, and connection work for various ELV devices and sensors.

Maintenance Activities:

• Participate in regular maintenance schedules for ELV systems and hospital home appliances.

• Conduct inspections, identify issues, and carry out repairs or replacements as needed.

Project Support:

• Assist in ongoing projects, including upgrades or expansions of ELV systems.

• Work under the guidance of supervisors to ensure projects are completed on time and to specification.

Repair of general Appliances:

• Repair and maintain home appliances used within the hospital, such as microwave ovens and LED TVs.

• Diagnose issues, replace faulty components, and ensure appliances are safe and functional.

Safety and Compliance:

• Adhere to all safety protocols and regulations while performing tasks.

• Ensure that all systems and installations comply with hospital standards and local electrical codes.

Requirements:

•Diploma or certification in Electrical Engineering or a related field.

•Experience in maintaining and installing CCTV, fire alarm systems, and other ELV systems.

•Knowledge of BMS, access control, nurse call systems, and similar technologies.

•Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.

•Familiarity with safety regulations and standards in a hospital environment.

•Ability to lift and carry heavy equipment.

•Comfortable working in various hospital areas, including patient rooms and technical areas.

•Willingness to work flexible hours, including possible emergency call-outs.
