We are looking for a Junior Quality Assurance (QA) Engineer to join our team at Aicruit , an AI-powered platform revolutionizing recruitment. In this role, you will be responsible for testing our web application to ensure it performs flawlessly across different user scenarios. You should have a solid foundation in manual testing techniques , strong attention to detail, and a user-first mindset. Experience with automation and API testing is a big plus , but not required.

Key Responsibilities

  • Analyze product specifications and convert them into comprehensive test cases and test scenarios .
  • Inspect elements and styling
  • Analyze network requests
  • Perform various types of manual testing , including:
  • Functional testing
  • Regression testing
  • UI/UX validation
  • Conduct API testing using tools like Postman to verify backend functionality and integration points.
  • Collaborate with developers, designer, and product manager to identify bugs, edge cases, and usability issues early.
  • Document and report bugs with clarity, including detailed reproduction steps, logs, and visual evidence (screenshots or recordings).
  • Maintain organized test documentation and logs using tools like TestRail, Google Sheets, or Notion.
  • Participate in sprint ceremonies (stand-ups, sprint planning, retrospectives) and contribute from a QA perspective.
  • (Bonus) Assist in creating or updating automated test scripts using Selenium, Cypress, or Playwright.

Qualifications

Must-Have:

  • 1–2 years of experience as a QA Engineer, Software Tester, or in a similar role.
  • Strong understanding of manual testing techniques , QA lifecycle, and software development processes.
  • Familiarity with:
  • API testing (Postman or similar tools)
  • Regression testing
  • Basic understanding of HTTP , JSON , frontend/backend interaction , and client-server architecture.
  • Know-how of different types of testing methods like white box and black box testing
  • Clear communication skills for reporting bugs, writing test cases,user stories and collaborating with cross-functional teams.
  • Detail-oriented with a strong sense of ownership over product quality.

Nice-to-Have:

  • Exposure to test automation tools (e.g., Selenium, Cypress, Playwright).
  • Familiarity with version control (Git), Agile methodologies , and project tracking tools like Jira or ClickUp.
  • Understanding of performance testing or accessibility testing .
  • Experience working with AI-driven platforms or SaaS web applications.
