Operation Theater Assistant - OTA (Full Time/Part Time) - Cardiac Surgery

1-2 years of relevant experience in cardiac surgery or similar fields preferred.

Matriculation, preferably with an intermediate qualification and a diploma.

The OTA will assist in cardiac surgeries independently, specializing in specific areas of cardiac surgery. Responsibilities include:

1. Arranging and maintaining equipment and instruments for cardiac procedures.
2. Ensuring consent forms contain correct patient information, signed and approved by relevant authorities.
3. Assisting surgeons during procedures.
4. Maintaining aseptic measures.
5. Running the operating room in the absence of the In-charge.
6. Performing OT operational activities independently, including:
   1. Cleaning all OT and medical equipment.
   2. Arranging surgical instruments.
   3. Preparing trolleys with minimal supervision.
   4. Verifying availability of equipment, instruments, and consumables before and after procedures, and informing the surgeon.
   5. Documenting equipment use during procedures.
   6. Completing consumption forms.
   7. Transferring patients to the Recovery Room after ensuring they are cleaned, dressed, and covered.
   8. Implementing patient safety measures.
   9. Coordinating with housekeeping for OR cleanliness.
   10. Maintaining effective communication between surgeons and OT staff.
   11. Performing tasks as assigned by the supervisor or head of cardiac surgery.
