Job Description

The Junior Technician will assist Technicians and Senior Technicians during all Operation Theatre procedures.

  • Assist minor cases independently.
  • Perform OT operational activities including:
    • Cleaning all OT and medical equipment.
    • Arranging surgical instruments for procedures.
    • Arranging trolleys with minimal supervision.
    • Verifying the availability of all equipment, instruments, and consumables before procedures, and informing the surgeon accordingly.
    • Documenting the use of all equipment during procedures.
    • Documenting the consumption form.
  • Shift the patient to the Recovery Room after ensuring they are cleaned, dressed, and covered.
  • Implement and ensure patient safety measures are followed.
  • Coordinate with Housekeeping to maintain cleanliness of the OR.
  • Maintain effective communication between surgeons and OT staff.
  • Perform all tasks assigned by the Head of Department.
