Job Summary

As a Proposal Engineer, you will play a crucial role in our organization's growth by preparing, developing, and delivering comprehensive proposals for potential clients. You will work closely with cross-functional teams to gather technical information, analyze client needs, and create persuasive proposals that align with business goals. The ability to articulate technical solutions and convey value propositions will be essential in winning new projects and contracts.

Proposal Engineer Duties and Responsibilities
  • Proposal Development: Lead the end-to-end proposal development process, including research, content creation, and document formatting, ensuring clarity, persuasiveness, and customization.
  • Technical Analysis: Collaborate with technical experts to understand project requirements, develop solutions, and translate complex technical information for non-technical stakeholders.
  • Cost Estimation: Prepare accurate cost estimates considering materials, labor, equipment, and other factors, maintaining competitiveness and profitability.
  • Competitive Analysis: Conduct market research to identify strengths and weaknesses, helping position proposals strategically.
  • Client Engagement: Interface with clients to clarify details, answer queries, and ensure proposals meet their expectations.
  • Documentation and Compliance: Maintain a proposal content database, ensuring compliance with standards, regulations, and client requirements.
  • Continuous Improvement: Identify opportunities to enhance proposal processes and tools for increased efficiency.
  • Communication and Coordination: Communicate effectively internally and externally via phone, email, WhatsApp, Zoom, etc., to meet proposal and project deadlines.
Area of Expertise
  • Conducting technical/financial feasibility studies and developing proposals
  • Calculating, designing, and simulating solar PV systems
  • Assisting with administrative and permit works
  • Managing scope, constraints, risks, assumptions, and deadlines
  • Supporting documentation and project deliverables
  • Skills in PVsyst, HelioScope, AutoCAD, SketchUp, Electrical Engineering, Power Generation, PLC, SCADA, etc.
