We're looking for a creative and technically skilled Senior Video Editor to join the Content Marketing team at Cloudways, the managed cloud hosting platform by DigitalOcean. This role is ideal for someone with a strong portfolio of polished, engaging video content who is passionate about storytelling and open to adopting new tools, especially AI-enhanced workflows.

You'll play a critical role in producing tutorial videos, product explainers, testimonials, social media content, and performance-driven ads that align with our brand identity and support our marketing goals. Reporting to the Head of Organic Growth, you'll collaborate closely with our Video Program Manager and cross-functional teams.

This is a hands-on, high-impact role for a video editor who wants to contribute meaningfully to a global brand and grow with the future of media production.

What You'll Be DoingVideo Production & Editing

• Edit and produce high-quality, engaging videos for a variety of formats including tutorials, explainers, customer stories, performance ads, and brand videos.
• Maintain visual consistency and high production standards across all video assets.
• Adapt and optimize content for various channels: YouTube, website, social platforms (LinkedIn, X/Twitter, Instagram, Facebook).
• Ensure content is accessible with subtitles, clean audio, and optimized metadata.

Motion Graphics & Visual Effects

• Create motion graphics, branded animations, transitions, and visual effects using tools like Adobe After Effects.
• Incorporate text overlays, dynamic elements, sound design, and branding to enhance narrative quality.

Collaboration & Execution

• Partner with the Video Program Manager and marketing teams to align on storyboards, messaging, and campaign goals.
• Own timelines and deliverables while maintaining creative quality and meeting deadlines.
• Apply feedback constructively and iterate based on team input and video performance insights.

Nice To Have – AI Media Skills

• Experience using AI video tools like Descript, Runway ML, Adobe Sensei, Papercup, Synthesia, etc.
• Ability to accelerate post-production using AI: auto-transcription, B-roll generation, background removal, multilingual dubbing, etc.
• Comfortable experimenting with AI tools to extract highlights, auto-generate social cuts, or streamline workflows.
• Willingness to train or upskill in AI media production as part of professional growth.

What We're Looking For

• 5+ years of hands-on experience in video editing and motion graphics, preferably in a digital agency, SaaS, or tech environment.
• Proficiency in Adobe Premiere Pro, After Effects, and other post-production software (e.g., Audition, DaVinci Resolve, Final Cut).
• A strong portfolio showcasing polished storytelling across different formats and platforms.
• Strong attention to detail: you catch clunky transitions, off-beat audio, or misaligned subtitles before anyone else does.
• Excellent time management and organizational skills to manage multiple projects in a fast-paced environment.
• Clear communicator with a collaborative spirit and a deep understanding of visual branding.
