Job Description:

Responsibilities:

  1. Lead the planning and development efforts for all sites within the organization.
  2. Oversee the design and implementation of engineering projects, ensuring they meet quality standards and regulatory requirements.
  3. Collaborate with internal teams and external stakeholders to develop comprehensive project plans and timelines.
  4. Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior engineers and project teams, fostering a culture of excellence and continuous improvement.
  5. Conduct feasibility studies, cost estimates, and risk assessments for proposed projects, ensuring alignment with organizational objectives.
  6. Manage project budgets and resources effectively to ensure the timely completion of projects within allocated resources.
  7. Monitor project progress and performance, identifying and addressing any issues or delays proactively.
  8. Stay updated on industry trends and best practices in engineering and project management, integrating them into project plans and processes as appropriate.
  9. Liaise with regulatory agencies and other relevant stakeholders to ensure compliance with applicable laws, regulations, and standards.
  10. Drive innovation and process improvement initiatives within the Planning & Development department to enhance efficiency and effectiveness.

Qualifications:

  1. Bachelor's degree in Engineering or related field; Master's degree preferred.
  2. Retired Army Officer with extensive experience in engineering and project management roles, particularly as a CORP Engineer.
  3. Professional engineering licensure or certification preferred.
  4. Proven leadership and team management skills, with the ability to inspire and motivate teams to achieve project goals.
  5. Strong technical expertise in planning, design, and implementation of engineering projects.
  6. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with internal and external stakeholders.
  7. Strategic thinking and problem-solving abilities, with a focus on driving innovation and continuous improvement.
  8. Ability to work effectively under pressure and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  9. Proficiency in project management software and tools.
