Job Description

We are seeking a qualified professional to manage and oversee the ICT infrastructure at NIT. The ideal candidate will ensure the continuous operation of data networks, manage IT services, and coordinate hardware and software solutions.

Qualification / Experience
  • BE/MS (Engineering) from any HEC-recognized university.
  • Minimum of 12 years of relevant experience in a reputable organization.
Key Responsibilities
  1. Manage the entire ICT infrastructure of NIT, ensuring data networks operate 24/7.
  2. Track and manage the IT service desk.
  3. Provide feedback on technical support issues to team leads or supervisors.
  4. Recommend hardware and software solutions and upgrades via established procurement processes.
  5. Maintain accurate inventory records of all computers and printers.
  6. Plan, propose, and deploy new network applications, communication systems, web, email, and domain servers; resolve network issues.
  7. Handle procurement of IT equipment, software licensing, outsourcing services, vendor evaluation, SLA management, technical documentation, and disaster recovery planning.
  8. Support systems integration to meet client/business needs.
  9. Supervise and coordinate with NIT staff on problem-solving, monitoring, and installing data communication equipment and software.
  10. Oversee the solutions repository to ensure high-quality solutions are available.
  11. Schedule data backups and ensure data integrity.
  12. Design and implement systems for disaster recovery and data archiving to protect data integrity.
  13. Manage the LAN, data center, and participate in capacity planning and strategic development for systems and software.

Ineligibility Criteria
  • Candidates with less than a 3rd division in their academic career.
  • NUST employees with less than one year of service or without an NOC from the Head of Institution.
  • Medically unfit candidates.
  • Candidates currently serving in government departments, armed forces, etc., may apply through their respective organizations.
